What is Shared Hosting?

Shared hosting is what most websites are hosted on.  Hosting companies will take a single server, and then rent out hosting accounts on it.  These Hosting accounts are given at set amount of disk space to store their website's files, and a set amount of transfer.  Hosting companies may host over 1000 websites on a single server.  Its important to understand what all is included in your hosting package, before deciding to get a hosting account.  This decision is best left up to your developer.
